Venue is wheelchair accessible with ACROD parking and close to public transport.

The WWDWA Inc Coordinator and Management Committee have been very busy over the last few months behind the scenes in working on some important administrative tasks to make the organisation run more smoothly.

We have also been busy planning for our big project, funded by the DSC, about telling the stories of our members. We will have more information about how you can be a part of this very soon.

We have also been contributing to the National Inquiry into Abuse and Neglect of People With Disabilities.

But the monthly forums are still a very important part of our work and will start again in August.

The dates booked for all of the forums for the second half of 2014:

31st August, 28th September, 26th October and 30th November in the Undercroft, at the Subiaco Arts Centre. All of the forums will be from 2-4 pm.

More information about the forums will be in our newsletters and on the website and FB page closer to the dates.

WWDWA Inc has had another very productive year and it is time we have our Xmas break to rest and refresh. We will be back on 13 January 2014. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making 2013 a great year. To all of you who celebrate the holiday season we wish you a happy and peaceful one, and a happy holiday break to those who don’t celebrate. We are looking forward to coming back with more forums and projects that will benefit women with disabilities in WA.

WWDWA Inc will be on its usual winter break from now until the end of July. There will be no forums in June and July, but they will start up again in August as usual.

I will be adding info to our web site and Facebook page on occasion during this time, but emails and phone calls won’t be responded to until after July. Please see our Links page for organisations that can assist you with individual advocacy and other support.
